Walking and Talking Therapy

The image often evoked of counselling and therapy involves a room and two chairs, maybe a couch but therapy doesn’t have to be that way.

Walking and talking during your therapy session, rather than being enclosed in a therapy room can feel less intense for some clients. Walking next to each other, in nature, can feel less formal and can allow deeper exploration of feelings. There is also the added benefit of being outdoors in nature, from increased wellbeing, lowered anxiety, depression and stress levels, to reduce anger and increase confidence and can boost self-esteem.

At Inner Power Counselling we are blessed to have access to over 200 acres of private land to walk around, with routes suitable for all levels of fitness, we have water to sit around if that is desired and centuries old meadows to meander through whilst talking.

Walking and talking therapy is offered near Upper Broughton on the Nottingham/Leicestershire border.
